What is a bar catering service?

Drop Ibiza Bar catering is the business of supplying and drinking in a remote site or site such as a hotel, plane, yacht, park, film filming site or television broadcasts or photo shoots, parades, or studio, shop, entertainment site, or event venue such as Villa, private palace, private house, etc.
The catering company sets up the bars, fetches the products and administers the drinks at the event, It can also provide crockery, cutlery, glasses, tables, chairs, decorations and service staff.

Is Drop Catering an official catering company?

Yes, Drop Catering is a fully legal and authorized company and is part of the Official Association of Ibiza and Formentera Catering Companies.

Can I ask for a private bartender for Drop Catering?

Yes, one of the services that Drop Catering provides is to administer private personnel such as waiters, bar-tenders.

What types of drinks can be requested at Drop?

Drop will be happy to accommodate any request! From classic to contemporary mixing, from Caribbean style to Tiki, Italian aperitvo or a classic mexicano, and much more.
In addition to our drinks prepared with excellent products, you can have a wide selection of wine and beers.

What is the difference between Drop Catering and other catering companies on the market?

All catering companies offer similar catering services and private bartender services. What is really important to evaluate, to decide which is the best catering company, is:

The catering company must be officially certified and preferably registered with the official catering associations (there are many illegal companies and without the necessary sanitary authorizations in Ibiza and Formentera. These companies do not comply with the basic mandatory health rules, have no staff with health certifications and do not follow the basic process to store and transport food ensuring the cold chain).

The catering company should show, with real images of previous catering and references of satisfied customers the way it is able to ensure your desired catering service.

Be sure to evaluate, through images and recommendations of previous satisfied customers, how the catering company provides the service in terms of:

  • Beverage quality – presentation accuracy.

  • Number and professionalism of the personnel involved, or quality of service.

  • Quality of the logistics process ensuring that the catering service has a reliable time frame.

  • General image of the catering from the first meeting/contact.

How many hours of service are included in my catering package?

Foodit catering offers a standard 8-hour service package. This time frame includes a 3-hour package to set up the Service (tables, dishes, kitchens, etc.) and cleaning. Therefore, the net time of the catering service is 5 hours. Extra hours can be contracted

Can I get a breakdown of my catering service costs?

Unfortunately we cannot provide our own cost breakdown.

Is it possible to try the drinks before confirming the catering services?

SURE! Drop Catering offers to all its potential customers and/or confirmed customers, the opportunity to enjoy a food and drink test. Food and drink tests cost € x00 per person plus VAT 10%. This value will be refunded if catering services are confirmed.

What procedure should I follow to confirm a catering service?

First of all you need to gather all the information in order to evaluate how Drop Catering could meet your needs and desires. To do so, Drop Catering will provide all the available images of previous catering actually made (also available on the socials of Drop Catering and on the official websites www.fooditcatering.com and www.dropcatering.com ), its corporate presentation, any previous customer references, a significant list of available recipes (Please be aware that Drop catering is able to design, prepare and provide any type of menu/drinks and therefore do not hesitate to ask for any drink/wine/beverage). Once you have all the information and all our price lists you can decide if you want to book one of the services offered by paying a deposit to guarantee the date of service. The deposit is not refundable as once paid the catering company cancels the chosen date from the dates available to other customers. After fixing the date you can start going deep into the menus, make all the desired changes, discuss the style and its presentation, service mode, etc.

Why should I pay a deposit to confirm a catering service and what happens if I cancel or postpone the service?

A deposit is required to be able to withdraw from availability the date on which you want to have the catering service and then, if you decide to cancel the service confirmed above, the amount will be retained as compensation for the catering company as it could not have accepted other services on the same date and already activated actions that could have involved outgoing cash flows. In case the date of service needs to be changed the catering company usually keeps the down payment for the new date.

It may happen that a small percentage could be retained in the event that the catering company had already had outgoing cash flows not recoverable from the same.

Does Drop Catering have a minimum number of guests for its catering services?
Yes, the minimum number required for a catering service is x people. However, there is the possibility to offer services for smaller numbers by defining with the Customer the menu and service aspects and related costs.

What if my event is below the minimum?

Drop Catering will be pleased to provide catering for more intimate events! There is a 15% increase in menu prices in order to offset fixed expenses.

What if I want to change the drink list?

No problem! Once you’ve confirmed the date of the event with a down payment, you will have the freedom to change your menu and catering services as you wish up to 4 weeks from the date of the event at no extra cost unless your changes significantly affect the cost of the product (for example if you want to change prosecco with Champagne).

Where can you provide your Drop Catering services?

Drop Catering can operate anywhere that allows catering services. This includes public or private places, parks, recreation centers, shops, churches, corporate headquarters, villas, boats, exhibition centers (we are official authorized partner of all exhibition centers in Ibiza), etc.

When should Drop Catering know the number of guests?

Foodit Catering will need the final guest count at least 1 week before the event date, which is also when the final balance will be due.

What happens if I need to make changes within 1 week?

In order to go ahead with the preparation of the event, the order of materials, the confirmation of the staff, we ask that all details are finalized at least 1 weeks before your event. We understand that some things may arise in those last weeks of planning that were not previously planned, and with the exception of lowering the number of guests, we can generally make minor changes.
